Hey, I’m Jared Van Houten! I’m a videographer, editor, and photographer with experience at CBS News New York, PIX11, and News 12 Long Island! I love bringing stories to life through video, photography, and social media, and I’m always looking for creative ways to connect with an audience.

Creating and marketing creative content is genuinely fun and fulfilling for me. I love gaining experience, refining my skills, and pushing myself with every project. Media production is all about hard work, trial and error, and thinking outside the box—and that challenge is what drives me. With each new project, I aim to outdo the last and deliver work that meets the highest standard.

JVH Studios is my personal production brand—created to showcase my portfolio and offer high-quality freelance video, photo, and media work to anyone who needs it.

The name goes all the way back to 2012, when I used “JVH Studios” for a photo project during my first year of high school. It stuck, and over the years it’s become the banner for every creative project I’ve produced. Watching the evolution of my work under this name has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
